Dr. Andrew B. Smith (DDS)
Dr. Smith graduated Cum Laude with acclimations and awards, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with honors. Working in dental offices and laboratories throughout his college years gave him an appreciation of all aspects of the profession.
Following graduation, he worked as an associate dentist in several well-respected dental practices in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Montgomery and Harford counties. He is currently active in many local and national professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Smith was one of only a few original Cerec Mentors in the United States teaching and advising other dentists on the intricacies of Cerec technology. His mastery of dental implantology has earned him awards in the field. In addition to full-time clinical dentistry, he founded and facilitates several elite continuing education programs; giving instruction to fellow dental colleagues.
Dr. Smith grew up in eastern Pennsylvania. He knew at a very young age that he wanted to become a dentist and will always be grateful to his parents for fostering his dream and encouraging him along the way. Dr. Smith values quality time with his family including his wife, sons and their dogs.

Dr. Hannah T. Hoge (DDS)
Dr. Hannah Hoge believes in comprehensively addressing your dental needs to promote your overall health and well-being. She strives to provide thoughtful, honest, and compassionate care to all patients. With a careful eye for detail, she is dedicated to helping you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.
Before attending dental school, Dr. Hoge received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in biochemistry with a minor concentration in oboe performance from Hillsdale College. While working in medical and dental offices throughout her undergraduate years, she realized her passion for healthcare; she found dentistry to be the perfect combination of her scientific and artistic interests.
Dr. Hoge graduated at the top of her class with Summa Cum Laude distinction from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. She was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society and was the recipient of the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics Excellence in Prosthodontics Award and the Nathan David Gold Memorial Award for conscientious, empathetic, and enthusiastic clinical practice.
Dr. Hoge is committed to excellence and evidence-based dental care. She is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hoge enjoys playing the oboe, painting, traveling, and pursuing the perfect cup of coffee. She loves spending time with her husband and their cat.
As a Bel Air native, Dr. Hoge is thrilled to practice at Smith & Co and serve her hometown community.

Dr. Eric Clark (DDS)
Dr. Eric Clark is a dedicated general dentist committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families. He has been part of the clinical team with Smith and Co. Dental since 2023, where he provides a full scope of dentistry—from preventive care to advanced restorative and implant-based treatment.
Dr. Clark completed his General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where he treated a high volume of medically complex patients and gained significant experience with hospital-based dentistry including interdisciplinary care with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery teams. His residency included rotations in the operating room, management of dental trauma or infections in the emergency department, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and advanced prosthodontics—further solidifying his foundation in comprehensive clinical care.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he distinguished himself through leadership, service, and academic involvement.
Dr. Clark founded and served as President of the VCU Sports Dentistry Club, organized public health initiatives as Vice President of the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry, and held multiple teaching and mentoring roles. He was also selected as a student assistant in the Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine Clinic, working alongside nationally respected faculty on complex diagnostic cases.
Committed to service, Dr. Clark has volunteered extensively throughout his career. His outreach includes the Special Olympics Mission of Mercy projects, Give Kids a Smile clinics in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, and oral cancer screening events. He contributed extensive time to fundraise for mission work where he provided dental care for underserved communities in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica. Following his residency program, he continued to support Lehigh Valley GPR residents through clinical mentorship and interdisciplinary case collaboration.
With a strong foundation in evidence-based clinical practice and a passion for patient education, Dr. Clark embodies the values of compassionate, high-quality dental care. He strives to build lasting relationships with his patients while continually advancing his skills to offer the most effective treatments in modern dentistry.

Dr. Jayne Eckenrode (DDS)
Dr. Eckenrode combines a lifelong passion for dentistry with an unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she also served as an intern for the Maryland State Dental Association Foundation. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, earning membership in both Omicron Kappa Upsilon and The Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society—honors reserved for the profession’s most dedicated and accomplished graduates.
Her journey began early as some of her fondest childhood memories were visits to her pediatric dentist’s office, where she first fell in love with the art and science of dentistry. By high school, she was already working part-time as a dental assistant, laying the foundation for the skill, precision, and artistry she brings to her practice today.
As a proud member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Eckenrode blends advanced clinical expertise with a gentle, personalized approach, creating an elevated dental experience that feels as comfortable as it is thorough. Whether she’s restoring a smile or simply helping patients maintain their oral health, her goal is to make each visit feel both luxurious and reassuring.
Outside the office, Dr. Eckenrode enjoys cooking, golfing (or at least attempting to), and spending time with friends and family.
